What rig do you use when fishing small creeks for trout ?

I'm going fishing for trout this year in a small creek what rig do i use?,i saw some people last year fishing for them using split shots but where do you put the split shots on your line?

i use a size 8 hook, and a BB size split shot about a foot about the hook

not yet but i'm going trout fishing in a few weeks and now i know what rig to use

use salmon eggs or nightcrawlers

what i do is use a small egg hook and attach a small split about 6 inches away from the hook ...and the splitshot should just beheavy enough to get the bait down but still move with the current....also i put a small piece ofnightcrawler on the hook and then cover the point with a salmon egg allways catches them

I just like to use about the smallest spinner i can find with a feathered tail on it. If I dont use that, I use a size 6 hook and a split shoot about 5-6 inches up from the hook and cheese or nightcrawler for bait.
