for the anglers who are just starting bass fishing, heres somthing to read.

Types of lures.

1. crankbaits

2. topwater baits

3. soft plastics

4. jerk baits

5. spinnerbaits

6. swim baits

structure and cover, structure is physical things about the lake/pond/river/ect for example, a drop off, rocks, points, ect. Cover is sorta like structure but is not built into the lake. For example, lilly pads, sunken logs, overhanging trees, ect. bass are alot like humans, you will never find a bass far away from cover. You dont find humans standing in the middle of a room when there is a chair or bed next to them. So if you can find cover and structure, it will improve ure odds of finding and catching bass.

4 seasons of the bass. there is prespawn, spawn, post spawn, and summer.

Prespawn. when the bass starts making its nest to spawn you can catch bass easy because they are getting ready to spawn which meens they will be eating as much as they can so they dont have to find food when they are spawning.

spawn. pretty hard to catch the females because they are focusing on the spawn. You can catch them using slow presentations with soft plastics.

post spawn. This is when the bass leaves the nest and usually moves to deaper water to find baitfish. Use crankbaits, topwater, and jerkbaits. You may also be able to catcht them on similar patterns to pre spawn.

Summer. This is when the bass are pretty easy to catch because they are out and about and you can find them everywhere. This is the time to test new lure to see what they are eating now.

Hope this helps, if you have any questions please post below or you can p.m me
