bait casters. The #1 problem with a bait caster is back lash. how do you prevent it? do you have to have a type of weighted lure to work it? i have no problems with back with a 2oz crank bait. what do you do to stop back lash?

you need to adjust the magnetic breaks so that the lure falls when you clck it slow enough that it doesnt give you a b.l, you should also hve appropriet pound line on.

adjust brakes, smooth casts not chuking as hard as u can , adjust spool tension so lure falls slowly except for weightless rigs weightless rigs make sure it doesn't fall at all, and thumb the spool before the lure lands in water

First of all make sure you work your spool tensin, And then only throw heavy lures till you get the hang of it, I use jigs spinnerbaits, and heavy plastics (horny toads, Senkos, Tubes)
