leave out a jug in a channel over night or juring the day with bluegill on it and ur sure to catch a channel cat. also if you have a power plant leave one by it ur sure to catch something big that way

what is a jug line?

A jugline is a large float that has a piece of fishing line running from the float down towards the bottom of the lake with hooks running off of that line. It works somewhat similar to a trotline. You bait the hooks and set them in different areas, wait for the fish to come along and bite, and then you collect your fishing jugs and rebait them and get your fish off the jugline. Jug fishing is very popular and a great method of fishing for both seasoned and inexperienced fishermen.

If you give the fish all that time wont they swalow the bait?

if you have a small hook somtimes they will swallow it. but most of the time it is in the corner of the mouth. i put these out and then go bass fishing and when im done i go check them and i also leave them out over night when im sleeping
