well we all heard of it,but how do we use it and what it the correct way to fish it.

well for starters u should tie ur hook directly to the main line with a polymer knot....and dont cut the tag off u should leave at least a 12 inch tag to help determine the length u should use.you should then take the leader and thread it threw the front of the hook (the side of the point)and pull so the hook stands up...after attach a weight at the bottom once u found the length u want to throw. i commonly use a 9 inch leader around rock piles and a 12 inch lead or sometimes up to a 3 foot leader a round grass. then try to keep to the baits a natural color and stick to the baitfish looking plastics like the (fin s fish) from lunker city.

also use a pop pop.and then a pop like u would a jig head or texas rig and keep ur line tight so the plastic suspends off the bottom..thats the purpose of the dropshot, work fast of slow to the conditions, also shaking the baits can useful at times, but the 1, 2 jig(or pop) for me is better. Very Happy

message for me farther info

I've never actually tried a drop shoot. I might give it a shoot this year when i'm doin finesse fishing rather than using a shakyhead or finesse jig
