Over the weekened I went fishing with some cousins and some uncles. We launch the boat into a lake in minnesota called lake independence. We start fishing about 12 feet of water with a big area of a weedbed. I'm throwing a jig and we're not catching anything. So we move to another spot that was absolutely perfect. There was weedbeds,pockets.weedlines,points,and bullrush. We start fishing but nothing was biting. So we all switched to weightless senkos. I threw a strikeking shim e stick and finally I catch a bass. It was 1 pound but it's a fish atleast. Since now we knew where the bass where sitting so we all use a weightless black yamamoto senko and a watermelon with black and red flakes yamamoto senko. We started to catch alot and big bass. I casted a watermelon senko with black and red flakes right into a weed edge in a small pocket. I count to five so the bait will sink then i twitched it two times,reeled in the slack and i felt a tick tick. So i reel a little more, I feel the weight of the fish then i set the hook. The bass was 4lbs. My grandpa drops in his senko and pulls up a monster 5lb largemouth. In all we caught about a little more than 30 largemouth bass because that is wat we targeted and thats what we all caught. I hope to go fishing there again. Maybe catch a monster 5lb. That's why i will never go bass fishing without yamamotot senkos and strikeking shime e sticks even tho on the shim e sticks i only caught two. Just to make it clear i caught 7 largemouth bass. Probably greatest bass fishing trip i've been to so far.
