My set up and key spots for Shad
Ultra light 4-6lb test FLUOROCARBON!
I use trout magnets and shad darts and jig heads with a Mr.twister
Cast upstream to a place with current and let it float down until you think its gone down enough.
Look for a place with good current and rapids
P.S if you catch a small shad put it on live bait rig with heavy pole and watch those bass destroy it!
