bass starting to spawn

when i was fishing this small pond today i saw these two bass(probally male and female) guarding a nest today in shallow water. How long do bass yousually spawn for? I wonder if these bass were just doing it early or if the bass are starting to spawn here in MA.

are u asking how long a bass will stay on its bed or how long is the spawing period

no u guys are all wrong just to tell ya....its like this

depending where u live the fish respond to different water temps to spawn
for example here in socal the bass (male and female) sit on the bed and spawn when the water is about 65 for some bigger lakes or 69-72 for the small lakes and ponds cause they warm faster.... and it only lasts for maybe a week - 2 weeks at the most 2 weeks...but the weather has to be at a constant temp...like for example sunny and 75 degrees out side for at least a few days and they will start....down here they start in about april- may
